Spare isn’t the place to coast and we’re up front about that to make sure this is the right fit for both us!

We’re growing fast (2x year over year), building multiple products, and navigating the complexity of govtech. Our work directly impacts lives - Spare’s platform functioning properly means the difference between someone getting to life-saving medical services or being stranded. That kind of responsibility isn’t for everyone.

We operate with a startup mindset: fast-paced, evolving and shifting priorities, and moving forward in the face of ambiguity and imperfect information. You’ll be expected to operate with a high degree of independence, demonstrate strong ownership, and execute with urgency.

We have a severity bias. That means you'll need to relentlessly focus, stay adaptable, and perform consistently at a high level. This isn’t the kind of role where a slow ramp-up is the norm - impact is expected early and often.

Travel is a regular part of many roles at Spare, especially for customer-facing teams. If you're looking for predictability or strict 9–5 boundaries, we may not be the right fit. The work here can be demanding - it’s not easy and it’s not always balanced, but the upside is unmatched: solving hard problems with massive impact, in an environment where your contributions truly matter.
